Another great day for BMPGC as 48 golfers, making 6 teams, took to the course on a fresh winters morning to chase for the title of Les Coley One in 2016.
The scores were all quite close as the players came into the Pulse bar with Hardy B seeming to have the early advantage, that was until the last player for the Friendly team came off the course with a brilliant 47 points !! Of course everybody was really pleased for Brian Pearce and nobody calling him a bandit, although I might have that bit slightly wrong !!
With Hardy B leading in the bar with 220 points that score of Brian's then tipped the balance in favour of the Friendly team to an unbeaten 223 points.
Whilst the seniors came in with a respectable score the ladies also returned with their highest ever Les Coley score which was a fantastic effort, and perhaps a warning to the men that they are getting ever closer to a record win. Particular congratulations go to Stephanie Bennet who scored a brilliant 41 points for the ladies team not forgetting that puts her into the money places of the Saturday Stableford competition.
Once again the members were well looked after by Chef, Steve Tierney, and the Pulse Bar staff so many thanks from us all for that.
Finally it is just congratulations to the Friendly team and their stand-in Captain who was Mark Barter.
Club Captain John Brewin presented the momento's to the winning players, well those who were still there anyway.
