<p>Texas Scramble (Medal) Team of 4 a. The team selects a captain before start of play. b. All players in the team hit a tee shots, minimum of 3 per team player. c. The best ball, as determined by the captain of the team, is selected for the second shot. d. The ball is marked within 1 foot of the ball. e. If on the fairway each member of the team places their ball within 1 foot of the marker, not nearer the hole. f. If not on the fairway each member of the team drops a ball, according to the Rules of Golf, within one club length of the marker not nearer the hole and not on the fairway if this lies within the one club length. g. Each member of the team hits their shot from that spot. h. The process continues until the hole is played out. i. The captain and another team member sign the card. Texas Scramble 4 to 3 Man Rules If only 3 players on a team, the following adjustments are needed: - Minimum number of drives will increase by 1. - On each hole, one player will need to play as the "fourth player" for every shot, except on the green. They will play first shot and last shot from each position. Before starting, player's must number themselves 1, 2 and 3 and the sequence of play will be: Player 1 will play 2 balls on 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 &16 from tee and each subsequent position except on the green. Player 2 will play 2 balls on 2, 5, 8, 11, 14 & 17 from tee and each subsequent position except on the green. Player 3 will play 2 balls on 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 from tee and each subsequent position except on the green. Team playing handicaps are calculated as per guidance 25%, 20%, 15%, 10% for 4-man teams and 30%. 20%, 10% for 3-man teams, lowest to highest.</p>
